Good brunch!! I tried the frittata and potatoes corn soup. So good and the coffee amazing. Chill place to visit with your friends.
best croissant! great. everything was a bit pricy though.. comepare to price, salmon dish was just fine.
Fresh food. Fun place on Austin's east side.
Good food options and cozy dinning environment
I love Blue Dahlia! Nestled in Austin's east side, this place offers up great grub and coffee! This is my go to place for a quick collaboration or meeting spot. Parking can be a little tough, just park somewhere on the street and take a stroll. Blue Dahlia doesn't dissappont.
This place is great! It's a cozy, intimate restaurant that exceeded my expectations. The chicken salad sandwich was great and my wife liked the Maryland crab salad. The waffles were a little too sweet, but were tasty. The inside of this place is really nice and they have a cool patio on the back. Great place for a date.
Beautiful place with amazing healthy and delicious food, I love their breakfast menu and the sandwiches! Service is excellent and atmosphere is great.
good brunch place to spend your Saturday morning
We found this place and immediately fell in love. The prosciutto and mozzarella tartine was fantastic and the garden is a beautiful oasis to share your meal in. We also got the Belgian waffles (small portions) but expertly cooked and crunchy and very sweet. We ended up adding raviolis as an after thought because we don’t live close and wanted to experience more. Our servers were friendly and attentive and they also offer $1 mimosas. We got the “large mimosas,” basically a pint for $6 - littleMore expensive but better than needing constant refills. I cannot wait to go back!
Neighborood cafe bistro oozing with charm. Staff is great, wine selection is nice and well priced, food is good (but could use a bit more finesse). But that's hardly the point of a place like this. Blue Dahlia Bistro is one those little gems you love because it's so comfy and honest.
The hostess was a spaz. A four top came in after we came in and got a table B4 us. Not cool! But the food is great! The lavender mimosas not so much my taste but everything was good. I would go again.
This is such a cute little cafe. We enjoyed our lunch out on the patio. The food was good and the service was great. The coffee comes in a BIG bowl and our server was really good about topping out bowls off with fresh coffee. We ordered the salmon tartine and the Parisian sandwich. Everything was fresh and the portions were perfect.
We were looking for a cool restaurant around Austin but our Arturo Underground was already closed. Read a couple of the reviews this place had, and decided to try it. It was the worst experience. The food was alright, but the service was disastrous. Neal was our waiter and he didn’t even came to check if our food was correct. My friend asked for a coffee and the waiter said yes and completely cut her off and left and my friend was still talking. Very rude. The tables that came after us were served first. Not sure what’s the reason or if I should play the racist card here, but it was really awful. The restaurant wasn’t even full. It’s a shame.
We ordered the open faced chicken salad which was about a 3.5. The eggwhote frittata and croissant was a 5. The outside patio is really cute. Unfortunately their neighbors were doing yard work and saw dust was flying into our food which we recognize is not their fault. The coffee here is delicious.
I love this little place! It's really cute. The food was good. The prices are moderate. I didn't feel like they are really set up for large groups though. I think there were about 13 of us and that was pushing it. Our server was nice. You could see the Capitol building from the restaurant. The neighborhood is older and quaint.
Love this place. It is cozy with some really good breakfast items. The place is also very nice and they have outdoor sports for those who don't mind the heat. We definitely like to try more from the menu so looking forward to many more.
Wonderful breakfast spot in a lovely diner with a slightly eclectic feel. The food is very good from what I've had (blitzes and crepes so far) and the service is fast and friendly without being intrusive. That said, be careful when you show up since they can get very busy during prime times.
I went here first for lunch, and got the tartines which were delicious, it was so good I had to go back and went the next day for breakfast and it was just as good, but i loved the bread basket which comes with delicious jam’s and nutella, absolutely amazing, i just wish they served the bread warm or toasted.
The food was tasty albeit a little pricey. I got the egg salad, and the portion was quite hefty. Service was quick for a takeout order. Parking is a bit of a pain if you don't know about it ahead of time. There's a public parking lot on the opposite side of the road before the restaurant (diagonal, left side lower than the right side).
Really great brunch spot to visit in East Austin! The food is delicious, but a bit on the pricier side. I ordered an egg dish with a chocolate croissant, and their coffees are amazing. I recommend sitting outside in the back on a nice fall/spring day as it is well-decorated and very beautiful!
Service was fine , cute place but the food was meh. Got the cold smoked salmon and the bread it came out on was extra soft soft. I couldn't hold up my food (finger food) because the bread was not toasted, the lack of textural contrast made for a pile of soft mush. if you think I'm being harsh that is fine but consider what else I have to say. The salmon lacked saltiness and while it did have a whisp of smoke it was lacking imo. The bread was not a good choice to pair with the salmon, it really didn't highlight salmon as the star of the dish unless for some read the bread was supposed to be (I'm that case I was underwhelmed) l.Overall the texture of the salmon was on point, the staff was kind and very quick, I like the place too it was very cute ... Food was alright.
Cozy atmospheric. Love the lighting. The place had a really good music selection playing when I was there. It's a good place for a date. Both front and back outdoor seating. A small calico cat hangs out in the back. There's really good art hanging on the walls for sale as well! The food was French. Very will displayed and tasty AF! I'd definitely return.
Really nice patio seating, could have a date night feel or a quick lunch with friends. Service is always quick and friendly, and they have a full espresso machine on site. Breakfast all day is such a perk! One of the only places I can think of with Belgian waffles. Everything is fairly priced. I got the Parisian breakfast sandwich, baguette had the perfect crunch and they nailed the dijon.
My friend and I had an absolute ball here. Went on a Saturday night and the atmosphere was quite cozy and charming. We shared a cheeseboard and a bottle of wine. The cheese and bread were both amazing and the single board actually fed two women with fairly large appetites. We were pretty amazed by this. The one downside was that they don’t serve their wine in wine glasses. If you’re not into wine this won’t bother you but if bothered me as their was no way to properly smell and aerate the wine. Besides that we really enjoyed it.
One of the cutest restaurants in Austin! Their food is always exquisitely presented and flawlessly made. I would highly recommend their crepes!
Delicious food! The open faced sandwiches are the best! So simple yet complex amazing flavors. Spent a weekend in Austin and had brunch their twice! Oh and the waffles! To die for! I wish I had the secret recipe 🤗
Healthy, local options with no BS.However, food was good but not great; flavor was on the blander side.
I visited for brunch and was not entirely impressed by the menu. The prices were much higher than the amount of food that was presented. The food tasted great but serving size is what I was going for. I also experienced some less than par service. It took about 30 min for the waiter to ask what we wanted to order. Once we ordered we waited about 45 min for the food to come out and in that time we didn't get any refills. I will only visit again if it's the only option.
I found the food and presentation to be quite excellent. The prices for the majority of items was very reasonable. The vegetarian selection was good and the highlight of my family's meal was the apricot and Brie cheese open faced sandwich. I also really enjoyed the coffee with a shot of lavender flavoring in it; it was a very unique and delicious combination. The service was okay. I called ahead as we were going to be coming in during lunch and the person I spoke with on the phone seemed like they were trying to hurry me off the line. When we got to the restaurant the service was a little slow and I had to ask about one of our plates, which they had forgotten. Overall, I would come back for the food, but probably during a less busy time of day.
Great place for brunch. Some really tasty homemade bread with jams and spreads, authentic Belgian-style Liege waffles, and an absolutely killer parfait. The place itself is just a little cramped but otherwise an awesome spot!
Great food. Awesome staff. Really good atmosphere.Plus, great place for people watching ;)
My wife and I have been doing to blue Dahlia since before our children were born. Amazing place. Sit out back.
Amazing atmosphere with super friendly staff. If you go and there is a 30-50 minutes wait time, WAIT, it is worth it. They serve the best goat cheese salad. Goo try it!!!
Really quaint restaurant in Austins east side! The food and atmosphere are both very good, I had a great time coming here and enjoying some coffee and brunch with friends.
Food is just excellentLooks good. Tastes greatFriendly service is a lot to be desired
Been here several times over 7+ years and never had a bad experience. The staff is authentic, the food is great, and every aspect of your experience is considered. It's a low-key gem in the heart of Austin that doesn't let ego get in the way. Always a happy time.
One of my favorite relaxing places to eat or just visit with friends! You can't go wrong with one of their tartines or salads!
Great place for any meal, from casual breakfast to business lunch or date night. I recommend the tartines and a mimosa flight!
I got lost in Austin and am so happy I stumbled upon this little gem. The atmosphere was laid back yet the staff was attentive. I have to eat gluten free and they offered several recommendations. I ended up with their organic mixed green salad and added their egg salad to top it off. All of their salads come with bread and butter and their gluten free bread didn’t disappoint! It comes from wild roots bakery here in Austin. Such a treat!
Turkey tartine was amazing! All the ingredients tasted really fresh. Cute place, can't wait to come back.
The food was good. We each had one of the frittatas. We also had a couple breve lattes. This place is more of a cafe than a restaurant. Lots of art on the walls. Neat decor. Very lovely.
Casual dining with a flair in East Austin
It’s definitely the best smoked salmon tartine I ever had
One of my favorite breakfast/brunch places in town! The Parisian Sandwich with dill cream cheese is amazing, not to mention the Belgian Waffle. Everything is made with high quality ingredients and super flavorful. Prices are decent. Coffee is great, one of my favorite places to get a cappuccino. Make sure you try everything, you’ll want to. Be prepared to wait at least 15-30 minutes during peak business hours on weekends.
I really like this place for so many reasons. Friendly staff, great relaxed atmosphere, front and back patios in addition to the indoor seating area, and nothing on the menu has ever disappointed me. Not to mention great happy hour deals! Say hello to the cat 😙🐱
The service was so friendly and made us feel at home. Food was unbelievably delicious, my friends and I ordered an array of things and everything was perfect. I’m already wanting to go back.
Great service great people...
Recently stopped here for a quick iced latte to beat the heat while waiting on Franklins BBQ to open. Had an AMAZING experience. The place is quaint and cute and tidy. Its spacious inside, the staff were so awesome. Multiple people asked me if I was being helped while I waited. Multiple milk substitute options. The back patio is an escape! Well shaded, with beautiful light features through out. The food veing served out to patrons looked fantastic. Will definitely be back soon for brunch!
The food was great. Really delicious. The wait was kind of long and I accidentally cut my hand on the rose vine outside or it would have gotten 5 stars.
